(WGEM) – A former winner of the WGEM John Wood Community College career makeover is seeing the value in his education. Randy Hufford of Quincy won the career makeover last year,giving him free tuition and books at JWCC. Now Hufford’sin the final year of the manufacturing technology program, andit’s already paying off for him.He was recently promoted from his welder job to a detail draftsman position at Titan Wheel in Quincy. Hufford has a message for anyone considering going back to school. “Do it. Just flat out do it,” Hufford said.”Because it will be one of the greatest experiences of your life. It will change you in ways that you can’t even imagine. All for the good.” While at JWCC, Hufford has maintained a 4.0 GPA. Heis on pace to graduate in the Spring.
